Contributors And Reviewers

EP3 Guide Development Process

This graphic shows the process for developing EP3 Guide sections. The process for each section is as follows.

  1. The EP3 team selects at least 3 contributors who are content experts and/or implementation experts to develop their own recommended content for the section.
  2. The EP3 Editorial Board appoints a synthesis committee that collaborates with the EP3 Editorial Director to draft the section based on these original contributions, research literature and reports, and their own expertise.
  3. The original contributors and at least 3 reviewers provide feedback and recommendations for further content.
  4. The Editorial Director, with input from the synthesis committee, incorporates that feedback into the section.
  5. A review committee appointed by the EP3 Editorial Board then reviews the section before final approval from the Board.
  6. The Editorial Director approves the final text based on recommendations from a copy editor who reviews the section for overall consistency and alignment of language.
  7. Each section will undergo periodic scheduled reviews to update the section content.
