David Craig

David Craig is Associate Head of the Department of Physics at Oregon State University. His research interests are in the foundations of quantum mechanics, quantum gravity, and quantum cosmology. Dr. Craig received his PhD in theoretical physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, before becoming a National Research Fellow of the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics. He has collaborated with physicists across the world, and enjoyed an appointment as a visiting scientist at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics.

Craig conducted research and taught at the University of Minnesota, Morris, Hamilton College, and the State University of New York prior to joining the faculty at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, where he was chair of the department of physics and director of engineering programs for twelve years. Dr. Craig served as a member of the APS Committee on Education and as a consultant to APS on the work which led to the formation of the EP3 Initiative before moving to Oregon State University.  He is a fellow of the American Physical Society.
